Statements of likeness.

Becoming is the key word. It is the content that, with their incarnated beauty, if the term is allowed, these images synthesize.

Their theatrical character is unavoidable. The drama reveals, like a light that seems to intensify the gaze, the transience of our existence. That is how these photographs are built, it’s their inevitable paradox. They can’t stop time and they know it. They know the transience of appearances.

We see in them the moment of their construction, the tension between the beings, the matter in their infinite possibilities, the things. Their premises are true. They build what they show. How we could discuss them. If we had the chance of being portrayed, in this new formulation of the portrait, as a genre that escapes from its own canon, we would be discovered, put to discover ourselves.
