ÉTER is a performance installation that explores the threshold between the visible and the invisible through infrared light. The performers move in complete darkness while infrared cameras capture their actions. Audience members are guided one by one to a television—the only medium through which the live performance can be seen.
Bringing together body and machine, the physical and the virtual, light and shadow, the work creates an intimate sensory experience in which sound becomes a guide and the invisible becomes perceptible.
